If you have experienced any of the above we can help you. We have years of experience and knowledge that has been built upon from dealing with fault finding, along with the professional training and test equipment we can hunt down these faults and correct them. Fault finding can be a long task as electrical installations especially older and heavily extended systems can take us many hours to break down into smaller and smaller area's. We will always work as quickly and methodically as we can to rectify the issue as fast as possible thus keeping the costs for the customer to a minimum.

I will detail below a few things that we do that any home owner can carry out as in my experience 90% of tripping on RCD and circuit breakers is usually caused by something connected into the system either by a plug or isolator switch.
1st If you get the RCD (one with a button on it saying test) trip, switch off all the circuit breakers associated with it and turn it back on. If it stays up turn on each circuit breaker in turn until one causes a trip. This is the circuit with an issue. If its a lighting circuit or outside please call us, if its a socket circuit go round and physically pull all the plugs out and switch off all of the switched fused spurs then try to reset. If it stays up then the problem was something plugged in and now its just a process of elimination. On a call out to RCD tripping this is the procedure that we start with as it usually gets us to the problem fairly quickly and by following these instructions you can save some money.
If you are not comfortable with doing this or would prefer we do it please call.
With circuit breaker tripping if you smell any type of burning or hear a loud bang/popping do not try and reset until you have called us or another qualified electrician to carry out the relevant tests and checks.
